Rain, Rain

I love spring rain, but today while I was walking out to seminary, I had to walk through a flood of water and hail and wind and thunder and lightning. It was cool to run through, but freeeeeezing cold, and an hour later I am still not totally warm. The lesson in seminary was awesome though, and I'm glad I went. But seriously, the weather is crazy!

I was so happy that it was getting warm and sunny! But I really love rain. So although I wish I could be sitting outside in the sun, it is a nice day for sitting and relaxing, and for pondering.

Ponderings :

1. True love is when all you think about is making the other person happy, it's not wanting them to make you happy. Katrina and I had a discussion about this in AP research.

2. We are creatures of habit. We wake up at the same times, get ready in the same ways, walk the same ways to class, and when something new to do comes up, we have a hard time getting ourselves to do it. I've noticed this, especially in me trying to go to the temple each week with the young women. A while ago, before the musical, I went every week no question. Then I quit going when I had rehearsals and not a lot of time. Now that I have time, I have a hard time going. I really want to, but I don't at the same time! I find excuses. So, the lesson is, don't find excuses. Rationalizing things is not good! And make good habits now, so you get stuck in them (it's easier to be good, then you can improve on other things easier), and avoid bad habits.

3. Rain makes the grass greener. Lesson: we can improve from our trials.

4. Food makes everything come together. Chocolate helps you get over your crazy days where everything is everywhere, and family gatherings always need food.

Alright, there's my thoughts for the day.
